How to deal with a flirty boyfriend

Having a flirt for a boyfriend is no fun but it need not be the end of the relationship. Here’s how you can deal with you ladies man.

IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU
Once you get this little truth into your head you will find all the hurt and humiliation vanish. Remember this always: his flirting is no reflection on your desirability; he is flirting because he has issues, so check your blame at the door. 

DON’T ACCEPT IT
If his flirtations bother you too much, read him the riot act by all means. There is no reason why you should stand for behaviour that annoys and upset you. A reason why guys continue to flirt is because they think their partners will never react. Get over your fear of losing him and mean it when you say that you will not accept this rubbish.

TALK TO HIM
There are two ways of dealing with a guy who needs the attention of other women to feel good about himself: either walk away because changing a grown man is almost impossible, or if you can be mature about it, talk to him and find out why he needs to flirt. Understanding his motives will help you deal with it better. 

TRUST HIM 
If you have no cause to believe that he is taking his “harmless” flirting to another level by actually having affairs, relax and trust him. If he says that his flirting means nothing, it probably doesn’t. You can’t police him forever so if you think the relationship is worth it, let him be. But be warned that there are guys who flirt to keep you insecure and keep your attention focused on him. These dudes might start flirting even more when they see no reaction forthcoming from you.
