1. Dil Dhadakne Do

For their thirtieth anniversary the Mehras decide to throw a posh party on the high seas. It is a hilarious take on high society and their pseudo problems. The movie shows the special bond that siblings Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra) and Kabir (Ranveer Singh) share and how they deal with their constantly quibbling and often overbearing parents Kamal Mehra (Anil Kapoor) and Neelam (Shefali Shah). This one is must watch for sure!

2. Kapoor And Sons

This Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan starrer is a beautiful movie that’s all about family and the drama that ensues when the Kapoor khandan have a reunion of sorts. The movie alludes to a love triangle - but watch it till the end for a heart melting twist! The movie also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajat Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor - who makes the world’s cutest grandfather! But by the end of the movie, you will totally fall in love with Fawad Khan (like you really needed a reason!).

3. Mean Girls

This movie is a hilarious take on ‘survival of the fittest’, as it follows the life of Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) who has been homeschooled all her life and has to go to a public school for the first time. It shows how she navigates her way through the many cliques that exist in high school and the hilarity that ensues. It’s all about surviving high school, making friends and the lessons learnt along the way. It is a coming of age movie that has become a cult classic and is a must watch for all girls because it is something that we can all relate to.

4. Funny Face

Is an oldie but a goldie. It is a timeless romantic comedy that follows the life of Audrey Hepburn as she morphs from a shy bookshop clerk to a gorgeous model who walks the runway in Paris. Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire’s love story unfurls through the course of the movie and is absolutely heartwarming to watch.

5. Band Baaja Baaraat

Well, of course, we love this movie! It introduced us to Ranveer Singh, how could we not love it!  It is a light-hearted love story that is refreshing and slightly hatke from the usual rom coms. It is a celebration of the ‘Big-Fat-Indian-Wedding’ and all the shenanigans that make a shaadi so very special! But honestly, Ranveer and Anushka’s jodi totally steals the show.

6. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Come fall in love (again). The byline could not be more apt! It’s is an iconic love story that we can all watch a million times! Raj and Simran’s story is a tale as old as time (at least in Bollywood) - girl meets boy, they fall in love, girl’s parents don’t approve, boy miraculously wins them over. However silly the story line, we can never truly get over it! You could even follow this movie with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania if you want to watch a slightly newer age version of the same story line.

7. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Who can forget Rahul, Tina and Anjali? All the 90’s kids out there will admit that this movie changed their lives! From wanting to dress exactly like Tina to walking into a salon and demanding that the parlour aunty give you Anjali’s iconic hair cut! We have all grown up on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and probably know the dialogues by heart. Watch this movie for a super pleasant walk down memory lane!

8. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

To begin with, the music is brilliant. Kabira has got to be one of our favourite songs of all time! The movie is young, it’s fun and is all about following your dreams and living life to the fullest (a message that resonated with us all). Deepika and Ranbir make the cutest couple in this movie, their love unfolds over the span of eight years and is truly beautiful to see. Also, Kalki’s gorgeous wedding scenes gave us all major shaadi goals!

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey take up competing wagers. While Kate Hudson has to write an article on how to lose a guy in 10 days, Matthew McConaughey, who is a total ladies man, has a bet with his friends that he can definitely woo a woman in 10 days. Hilarity ensues when they pick each other to carry out their respective plans. This one is a total feel good movie and will have you in splits.

10. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara!

Farhan, Hrithik and Abhay on a road trip through picturesque Spain!!! What’s not to love! The movie is hilarious (rememberBagwati?), super fun to watch and makes us all want to give into wanderlust and just set out on an adventure. It’s a film about friendship and is perhaps as iconic as Dil Chahta Hai when it comes to celebrating male bonding. This movie will totally make you want to save up and travel in the new year.
