Did you know Bobby Deol was the first choice of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’? Yes, Bobby was approached by Imtiaz Ali for his movie ‘Jab We Met’ initially. At that time, the movie was titled ‘Geet’. Bobby also gave the idea of casting Kareena Kapoor for the titular role. He also went to the producers Ashtavinayak with the script.
Bobby was trying to make it work in some way or the other and then one day, he found an announcement saying that Kareena and Shahid are playing lead roles in Imitaz’s ‘Jab We Met’. He continued sharing that he was to be a part of ‘Highway’ but again Imtiaz cheated on him. However, he ended the note saying that he admires the directorial skills of Imtiaz and they are good friends. Bobby also shared that if Imtiaz ever makes a movie with him, it will be his best one!
But the producers didn’t wish to sign Imtiaz, saying that he will be directing an expensive movie and also that Kareena didn’t wish to meet Imtiaz. Bobby also approached his friend Preity for the role but it didn’t work either.
