10 Adorable Valentine’s Day Ideas For The Long Distance Couple!

Being in a long distance relationship is hard enough, and when Valentine’s day is around the corner, it just seems way harder. But worry not ladies, because when there is a will, there is a way. If you both really love each other, nothing should stop you from making the other one feel special. So, on 14th feb, even if he is far away, here are a few Valentine’s day ideas you should use to celebrate the day of love! 

1. A (Virtual) date

So what if you can’t go out together for a date? This is the time to put technology to full use. Plan a Skype date! Dress up in a pretty dress and ask him to suit up. Have wine and your fave food in front of you, just like you would if you were in the same city! And maybe end it on a steamy note? *Ahem ahem* 

2. Love in letters

Go for some old school lovin’! There is nothing more romantic and heartfelt than a handwritten letter from the love of your life. Send him a series of letters throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s day. You could also put on your red lippie and watermark every letter with kisses. How cute is that? 

3. Some romantic time with the couple app

Couple app is made for you guys! You can keep your photos together, send secrets (photos that disappear), thumbkiss, sketch together and send him cute ‘thinking of you’ messages even when he is offline. You can also play some online games together. It’s the easiest way to have a fun time! 

4. Ask his roommate/bestie for some help

What else are BFFs for? Make a small package for each day of Valentine’s week and ask his roomie/ best friend to leave the gifts, one by one, somewhere he can easily (but not too easily!) spot. 

5. Movie date… Yes! You can totally do that!

Download a movie you’ve both been wanting to watch for a long time. You can even watch movies on YouTube by paying a nominal amount (anywhere between Rs 50-120). Get cozy in your separate beds but watch the movie together. Don’t forget the popcorn!

Every couple has that one song that’s ‘their’ song. Even if you are not a singer or a guitarist, learn to play or sing that song and then send him a video recording of the same. It’s going to be the cutest thing ever!

9. Take him down memory lane with a video!

Go around your city and click pictures of the spots that you both love. The place where you met, where you had your first date, that restaurant you both love, that tapri waale bhaiya whose chai you always have. Then compile all that and make a cute video with a beautiful song playing in the background. He won’t be able to get rid off that cute goofy grin of his! 

10. And nothing like a surprise visit

Well, why not? If you can, then splurge on the best surprise gift he can get. Coordinate with his roomie or his best friend and plan a trip to his place. Show up at his doorstep and make sure to ask his friend to record his reaction. It’s so gonna be worth it!
